My bag's packed

Hello blog and peeps, long time no see!

My bag is finally packed and the cot is finally put together!

I am entering my last 4 weeks. So much has happened in the last few weeks so haven't had much time to 'nest'.

We had weddings, Ken's younger brother's graduation, Ken's family was here so spent time with them and work has just been hectic. Finally, I've said my goodbyes and can finally sit down and relax and enjoy Christmas and prepare for the arrival of the lil' bub :)

I thought I would be really sad on the day I left work but it wasn't that bad. It was such a busy day, had nasty customers over the phone (unfortunately) so by the end of the day, I just couldn't wait to grab my bags and GO! haha. My colleagues were like, 'make sure you come back!' and I said, 'Yeah! of course!' but that night, I thought to myself...hmm..I miss my dream of being a rich tai tai living in Malaysia. Maybe I should pursue that. haha..

Anyway, after all the scary stories and reminders from friends who have had babies who had come early, I finally decided to pack my hospital bag. I don't really know what to pack so I've just dumped a couple of tops and leggings and pajamas in there. I was more particular about packing for the baby so I picked some outfits, nappies and wraps. I think I'm going to pack my book on labour and notes from my antenatal class because it's got all these positions and massages you can do to make you more comfortable. Just imagining myself in labour and Ken flipping the book going, ok do this and that is quite funny. I might be in so much pain I might just fling the book at him! Oh well, better bring the book just in case lah.

Ken's younger brother is crashing at our place for a while since he just finished Uni and doesn't have a place to stay. He's currently sleeping in the nursery-to-be so once he goes back for Christmas, will get started on decorating the room. We've got all these awesome gifts we need to get some shelves to display them on. So nice...love all our friends!

Ah so happy the holidays are here..finally time to sit back and relax :)

  1. Exciting..:) Preparing early is so 'Joy' (*ahem* unlike me loh..). Tell Ken to study hard so that he won't have to flip the book while you're in labor. Are your parents gonna be there? =)

    1. Yeahh I'm such a planner and it's nerve wrecking because during labour, your body and the baby kind of takes over I think. All new to me! Yeap, mum and dad will be here but birthing partner is Ken :)
